Extract Even PDF Pages: from input to a reviewable result

Create a new local PDF containing page 2, page 4, page 6, and every other one-based even page from the source. The page selection rule is fixed and visible, which makes it useful for separating duplex scan sides or reviewing alternating form pages without manual range entry.

Worked example: separate reverse sides from an eight-page scan

How to interpret it

PDF page numbers are interpreted from one, while the internal selection uses the corresponding zero-based indices 1, 3, 5, and 7.

Copy one-based even pages into a fresh PDF

The source PDF is parsed locally, its page indices are filtered so only one-based even pages remain, and those pages are copied in source order into a newly serialized PDF. The operation changes page membership but does not rasterize the selected pages.

Even-page extraction boundaries

  • A one-page PDF has no even page and cannot produce a meaningful extracted document.
  • Signed, encrypted, or damaged PDFs may not be loadable or may lose signature validity after rebuilding.
  • Document-level outlines, forms, attachments, and metadata may not map cleanly to the reduced page set.
