2-Up PDF Maker: from input to a reviewable result
Place two consecutive source pages side by side on each landscape A4 output sheet. The browser scales each page proportionally into its half-sheet cell, which creates a compact review or draft-print PDF without uploading the original.
Worked example: five portrait pages
Example input
A five-page portrait PDF.
Example output
Three landscape A4 sheets: pages 1–2, pages 3–4, and page 5 in the left cell with the right cell empty.
How to interpret it
The output sheet count is ceiling(5 ÷ 2) = 3; source order is preserved and no page is duplicated.
Landscape A4 imposition
The engine creates 841.89 × 595.28 point sheets, divides each into two equal cells, leaves a six-point inset around each embedded page, and uses the smaller width or height scale so the entire source page remains visible.
Imposition boundaries
This is sequential 2-up output, not booklet page reordering for folding and binding.
All output sheets are fixed landscape A4 even when source pages use another size.
Very wide or tall pages can become small because aspect ratio is preserved.
