Square-image workflow
This tool uses a contain workflow: it preserves the source aspect ratio, scales the complete image and centers it on the selected square background. It does not stretch the subject or automatically cut off the edges.
Use it for profile photos, product images and compositions where every edge matters. The long side fits the canvas while the remaining space becomes background.
A 1080-pixel square works for many social and commerce previews, but platform requirements change. Enter an exact side length and verify the destination before publishing.
Use 100% opacity for a predictable solid fill or 0% for transparent PNG output. Intermediate opacity values are also preserved in the exported PNG.
If you need a full-bleed 1:1 crop instead of the complete photo, use the aspect-ratio cropper. For independent margins on every side, use the image padding tool.
